Aesthetic surgery – Tunisia takes the quality route
Tunisia has recently joined the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. This scientific organisation was formed in New York in 1970 and now includes practitioners in over 85 countries. This is good news for those interested in medical tourism.
In joining, Tunisia has nailed its colours firmly to the quality mast. “The aim of joining is to support the physical presence of our country at international aesthetic surgery congresses”, explains Dr Bouraoui Kotti, national secretary of the ISAPS in Tunisia. Joining the ISAPS offers many advantages, including scientific exchange, debate and expanding our knowledge of the different techniques used.
Dr Krotti hopes that this will mean that international congresses can now be held in Tunisia and that his fellow colleagues will be able to benefit from new training opportunities. His enthusiasm extends to promoting the profile of his country and he is keen to emphasise “the quality of its surgeons”.
